Shemuwel Klingenberg

     Martin Yohanan Shemuwel Klingenberg, 25, of Harwood, MO passed away on December 21, 2025. He was born early Saturday morning on October 21, 2000 in Moro, OR.

     Being the firstborn son, Shemuwel was a very responsible little “Man” from an early age. He spent most of his early years with his father in farm equipment. He had a great love for farming and dreamed of becoming a farmer. His first job was working for a farmer. Shemuwel grew to love woodworking and bought a sawmill and lumbered wood and enjoyed building things. At age 19 he sustained a traumatic brain injury in a logging accident, which left him severely handicapped. He spent the next six years in his bed and wheelchair. Even in this state, Shemuwel found great joy in his family, nature, and especially smiled and laughed when a baby was placed in his arms.

     Shemuwel had a great love for God and his church. He professed his faith in Christ and was confirmed as a teen. Shemuwel suffered with terrible seizures after his accident. On December 21, 2025, after a prolonged seizure, he was received into the arms of Christ.

     Shemuwel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sieghard and Lydia Klingenberg, Uncle Dieter Klingenberg, and sister Yohanna Klingenberg.

      The family he left behind will forever cherish his memory. Parents: Martin and Andrea Klingenberg. Brothers and sisters: Noah and Anneliese Pogue, Seth and Ingrid Russell, Mattathias, Dieter, Emma, Lydia, Wilhelm, Krista, Beric, and Suzanne. Nephews: Liam and John Pogue, and Brian Russell.

      Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Church of Israel, Schell City, MO with Pastor Dan Gayman officiating. Interment will follow in Church of Israel   Cemetery.
