Shirley Irene (Hill) Shepley

      Shirley Irene Hill-Shepley was born on November 10th, 1935 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Ora Donald Hill and Pearl Irene Day-Hill. She left this earth to be with the Lord and Savior on Friday, July 17th, 2020 with many of her beloved family at her side.

     Her early years were spent on a farm Southwest of Fulton, Kansas. The family later moved to Colorado for a few years, then they moved to Idaho where she spent most of her teens. She and her family moved to rural Nevada area in 1953 where she graduated high school at Walker in 1954. On January 4th, 1955 she married Donald R. Shepley at the El Dorado Springs Church of Christ. Shirley and Don celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 4th, 2020. This union was blessed with two children, Kerry Ray Shepley, December 9, 1959 and Kristine Dawn Shepley, March 26, 1963.

     She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ora and Pearl Hill, her mother and father in law George and Josephine Shepley, two brothers Eugene Hill and James Hill. She is survived by her husband of the home Donald Shepley; her son Kerry Shepley of Butler, MO, and daughter Kristine Shepley-Reehl (John) of rural Nevada, MO; six granddaughters, Gail Shepley or Richardson, TX, Deanna Hershberger and Dana Shepley of Nevada, MO, Amanda Reehl-Thorpe (Brandon) of Las Vegas, NV, Michelle Reehl-Stackhouse of Altoona, KS, Lynette Reehl-Ramirez (Eric) of Drexel, MO and one grandson, Wyatt Reehl of Overland Park, KS; 11 great grandkids and one due in August; two brothers, Donny Hill (Joy) of Adrienne, MO and Leroy Hill (Nancy) of Springfield, MO; and one sister, Joy Hill-Collins (Kenny) of El Dorado Springs, MO.

      Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20th at the Church of Christ, West 54 Highway, Nevada, MO (no visitation prior to service due to COVID). Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada, MO.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be given to Church of Christ in Nevada, MO c/o Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

     Family encourages guests to wear masks.
