Stevana Gilbert

     Stevana Leah Gilbert, age 80, passed away at home on June 19, 2024.  She was born on July 20, 1943, in Nash, Oklahoma, the daughter of Opal and Rosa Meritt Bolte.   Stevana graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Oklahoma.  She married William “Bill” Gilbert in Lamont, Oklahoma.  They moved to Richards, Missouri in July 1974, where she helped on their farm and was a homemaker before becoming an LPN.  She worked at Heartland Hospital in Nevada for many years before retiring. Stevana was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada, Missouri.

     Survivors include her three children Tama Hinton, Tim (Kathleen) Gilbert, Roger (Tina) Gilbert, 15 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.   Stevana was preceded in death by her husband Bill Gilbert, her parents, and three brothers Opal, Brook, and John.

     Funeral services will be 11:00 am, July 6, 2024, at Ferry Funeral Home with Father Peter Savidge officiating.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.   Burial will be at a later date at St. Michael’s cemetery near Fulton, Kansas.
