Tammy Elizabeth Reed

    Tammy Elizabeth Reed, 53, Nevada, MO passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada.  Tammy was born December 19, 1967, in Kansas

City, MO to Thomas L. Reed, I, and Kathleen E. (Green) Reed.      

      Gone too soon, but now out of pain, worry and struggle. A spiritual lady, a good sister, lover of people in need and a caring animal lover. 

      Tammy was a member of the Nevada Church of Christ. She graduated from Nevada Senior High in 1986. In her teens, Tammy worked as an aide for Vernon County Center for Disabilities under the direction of her mother, Kathleen Reed, QMRDDP, working with children of special needs.

      She went on to Oklahoma Christian College for a year and later attended Missouri Southern State College of Joplin, MO for one year.  Tammy also trained as a pharmacy technician at a technical school and worked in a local pharmacy. 

      Tammy worked for group homes for persons with disabilities in Missouri, Tennessee and South Carolina. And she also worked in marketing.

      Tammy loved crafting, was an animal lover, like working with computers, fantasy literature, spirituality, and loved the peanuts cartoons.  She was a second life player of the internet community, and an avid computer gamer.

      I will miss her dearly, especially her intelligence, compassion, selflessness, creativity and humor, Thomas L. Reed II, loving brother.

      Tammy is survived by her brother, Tom Reed, II, Nevada; two uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reed, Oak Grove, MO, and Roland Green (Charlene), Arizona; an aunt, Sheila Brab (Jim), Oak Grove, MO; several cousins; and members of the Nevada Church of Christ.   

      Memorials are suggested to Vernon County People for Pets c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
