Thelma Ruberta Alumbaugh

          Thelma Ruberta Alumbaugh, 97, formerly of Nevada passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Phoenix Mountain Post-Acute in Phoenix, AZ.  Thelma was born September 22, 1924 in Nevada, MO to Lucian L. and Beulah E. Bond. She was united in marriage to Norman Lee Alumbaugh on February 19, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1994.

      Thelma grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School.  After her marriage to Norman they made their home in Independence, MO.  They moved back to Nevada in 1985 until she moved to AZ in 2001.

      Survivors include two daughters, Linda S. Staley (Jack), Phoenix, AZ, and Jeannie D. Beard (William), Dewey, AZ; grandchildren, Traci Bailey, Phoenix, AZ, Tricia Cerda, Phoenix, AZ, Tara Welch, St. Louis, MO, Amy Kille, Prescott, AZ, and Sara Hurd, Dewey, AZ; 13 great grandchildren; a sister Fern Welch, Nevada, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and seven siblings, Lucian Dale Bond, Elton Bond, Wilma Reed, Marion Rains, Elmond Bond, Willard Bond, and Betty F. Bond.      

      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
