Thomas Lee Pilcher, 80, of Sheldon, MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at his home in Sheldon. Tom was born on May 18, 1945 in Nevada to Lloyd and Anna Mae Pilcher. On January 26, 1964 Tom was married to Mary Lou Ragan and she preceded him in death on December 31, 2020. Tom grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School. He worked for Missouri Public Service in various departments including the Natural Gas, Electric, Water and finally as a Meter Reader retiring after 40+ years of service with the utility company. Tom enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, and Trapping with his family, and in recent years enjoyed recycling and playing Dominos with his friends.
Tom is survived by four children, Mary Driver of Kansas City, MO, Tom Pilcher, Jr (Patricia) of Rich Hill, Donald Pilcher (Tara) of Sheldon, and Tammy Burton (Thomas) of North Carolina, six grandchildren, Marisa Magsam, Cody Burton, Samantha Driver, Kimberly Hammett, Diedra Driver, and Elliott Burton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his wife Mary Lou, Tom was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold, Lloyd (Junior) and John.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the Sheldon Baptist Church in Sheldon with Dr. Jerod Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:30 am prior to the service.
Following the service a private interment will be held in the Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
