Thomas Ellis Senkevech

     Thomas Ellis Senkevech, 86, Nevada, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Cox South in Springfield, MO. Tom was born April 21, 1939, in Moundville, MO, to Adam J. and Betsy P. (Doris) Senkevech.

     Tom grew up on a farm in rural Moundville and graduated from Bronaugh High School Class of 1957.  He made his living in flooring and when he began his carpet business he moved to Nevada. He owned and operated “Tom’s Floor Covering” for over 60 years. Tom’s hobbies included trapshooting, hunting, and going to casinos.

     Tom’s family included four nephews, Scott Senkevech, Justin Senkevech, Kevin Senkevech, and Michael Senkevech; a brother, Jack Senkevech (Lana), McKinney, TX; and his special friends and caregivers, Lonnie and Noel Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Max Senkevech.

     Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Shiloh Cemetery in Barton County, MO.
