William Clark Obituary

     William “Bill” Edward Clark, 65, McKinney, TX, formerly of Nevada, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in Richardson, TX following a sudden illness.  Bill was born May 13, 1956 in Nevada, MO to Edward A. and Hattie R. (Hamlett) Clark.

     Bill was raised in Vernon County, living in the Moundville area and later Montevallo. He graduated from El Dorado Springs, High School Class of 1974 where he was active in FFA and Football. Following high school he worked for a time at Stockton Lake, the local lumberyards in Nevada, and at Crane Plumbing for 15 years. In February 1998, after receiving a Tech Certificate from Ozark Technical College, he began a career with Southwestern Bell Communications in downtown Kansas City. Following the closing of the downtown office he was relocated to Richardson, TX. He has resided in McKinney, TX for the past 19 years. Bill was a former member and deacon at the Milo Baptist Church, past member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he was active in the youth program and was currently a member of the First McKinney Baptist Church. Bill enjoyed coming home to see his family and friends, something that he tried to do at least three times each year.

     Bill is survived by three children, Edward Allen Clark (Carmen), Nevada, MO, Robert Clark (Andrea), Alexandria, VA, and Christina Clark, Milo, MO; three grandchildren, Cedric Clark, Emma Clark, and Lily Clark; brother, David Clark (Donna), Sibley, MO; nieces and nephews, Joshua Clark (Candy), Independence, MO, Bradley Clark, Sibley, MO, Lindsey Ellis (Gerald) Sibley, MO, Angela Rowe (Michael), Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Laura Hall, South Bend, IN; and multiple great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Wanda Hall; and a nephew, Edward Lee Hall.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Bill Platt officiating.  Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Milo, MO.

     Memorials are suggested to Olive Branch Cemetery or the American Heart Association c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
